Ticket Services Representative
JOB DESCRIPTION:
American Musical Theatre is seeking applicants for full and part-time positions to work in the box office. Each position is responsible for assisting patrons with all their ticketing needs.
One of the full time openings is for an associate who is bilingual in both English and Spanish. For the other openings, this is not a requirement.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Sells tickets for all AMTSJ productions (as well as Children's Musical Theatre, Ballet San Jose and other Regional productions). The majority of the Ticket Representative's time will be spent on the phone assisting patrons.
- Provides exceptional customer service both on the phone and at ticket windows.
- Handling of cash/checks/credit card transations.
- Responds to customer issues with courtesy and professionalism.
- Works at theatre during productions, Must be available for evening/weekend shifts in addition to weekday office hours.
- Assists with other various duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work tactfully and cheerfully with the public
- Strong Attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team member
- Working knowledge of common computer programs (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer etc)
- 1-2 yrs experience using a customer service database program
- Must be 18 years or older
- Some college experience preferred, ticket sales experience is a big plus
- Must have a strong work ethic
