A special thank you to our guests who gathered to celebrate Broadway's Best and raise funds for American Musical Theatre of San Jose's Artistic, Education & Outreach programming at our spectacular Spring Gala held on Sunday, April 6 at the San Jose Marriott.
CEO & Executive Producer Michael Miller honored John and Abby Sobrato, Star One Credit Union and the City of San Jose for their commitment to a vibrant arts community both on stage and in our local classrooms. Guests were inspired by guest artists Christiane Noll, Diana DeGarmo, Aaron Ramey, Noel Anthony, Brittany Ogle and Kari Yancy followed by Hellyer Elementary School who performed songs from an original musical they wrote as part of our Writing a Musical program. With the generosity of the corporations, organizations and individuals below, AMTSJ raised more than $160,000 in vital funds for our 2008 programs.

Calendar of Donor Events for 2008/2009
Enrich your theatre experience at special events throughout the season! As a supporter of the Theatre, you receive invitations to a number of events, based on your level of giving. From having breakfast on stage at the CPA to artist receptions, you will have the opportunity to meet other friends of the theatre and experience the behind-the-scenes making of a theatrical production.

- Annual Dinner: Dine with our Board of Directors in June 2009 when we'll celebrate the 2008/2009 season and hear breaking news about our 2009/2010 casts and creative teams.
- Dinner with the Artists: Meet some of the artists creating Flower Drum Song before the show opens
- Breakfast on the Stage: Gaze out on all 2,540 seats of the Center for the Performing Arts while enjoying breakfast and behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
- Donor Tech Rehearsal: Spend an evening at Flower Drum Song or Tarzan®, The Stage Musical, Based on the Disney Film and experience the technical process as the cast, crew and design team bring a musical to our main stage.
- Sitzprobe: The Sitzprobe is the most magical night in the creative process. Join us to hear the cast and the orchestra come together for the first time as they bring a musical to life.
- Theatre Arts Conservatory Final Workshop: A small group of students spend a summer at our studios learning all aspects of performing from professional artists, which concludes in a final workshop presentation. See the stars of tomorrow in August 2009.
